Thomas Kinkade : The Garden of Prayer

The Garden of Prayer by Thomas Kinkade

Just what we need at this time of year – a place for peaceful contemplation. The serenity of colour tones and hues transports the viewer to a place of calm and contemplation. It is easy to imagine feeling the warmth of the sun and enjoy the fragrances in the garden without actually being there. Such is the power of beautiful art.

This print has been mounted using a soft white mount. Frame is hand finished in Bronze with the rope detail hand painted in Gold metallic finish paint.

Seascape (photographer unknown)

A stunning seascape capturing all the drama and urgency on board whilst sailing in challenging sea conditions.

An dramatic image like this benefits from understated mounting. The frame is hand finished in teak wood stain and wax, polished to a satin sheen to compliment the beautiful teak decking on the boat photographed.

Traditional Embroidery Sampler

Bristol, Framing, Picture, Country Studio, Needlework, Embroidery

Traditional embroidery sampler

A traditional embroidery sampler will brighten any baby’s nursery. These characters bring nursery rhymes to life for the joy and delight of both baby and parents.

The needlecraft work is unglazed creating a multi media tactile work of art to be enjoyed for years to come and made with so much love and dedication.

The frame is natural wood with neutral hand finished with fine wax.

To keep clean the embroidery, remove the brush from your vacuum cleaner, cover the pipe with fine muslin or 3 layers of ladies tights to reduce suction. Then adjust your vaccuum cleaner to  ‘low suction’ and gently vacuum the surface holding the nozzle approx. 2 to 3 inches from the surface of the embroidery work.

If the needlework is only slightly dusty, it can be successfully cleaned using a soft paintbrush or clean make up brush and just gently brush off any surface dust.

St Catherines, Honfleur

Country Studio Framing, Picture, Frame, Print, Art

A beautiful print of St Catherines, Honfleur.

The frame is hand finished woodstain and wax. A blush of gold has been added to the final coat for a rich glow to catch the subtle golden hints & highlights in the print itself.

Cat Circus

Picture Framing, Country Studio, Framing, Bristol

Silly me – I didn’t take a photo of this beautiful print before it went to the paper conservator for some tender loving care to remove acid burn and a lot of staining from environmental pollution. The restored print looks as if it has just rolled off of the printing press. The colours are vibrant yet the sense that this is an old print has been retained.

Double mounted with a paper fillett as well in two different blues.  The frame is rough wood, hand finished & distressed to tie in with the earthy, well worn feel of the circus tent and sawdust performance ring.
